Until Definition & Meaning

1. Until means up to the point in time or event mentioned.

Example: I will wait until you finish your work.

2. Until indicates the time when a particular event or action will stop.

Example: The store is open until 9 pm.

3. Until is used to express the idea of continuing a particular action or state up to a certain point.

Example: I will keep practicing until i get better.

4. Until is used to express a condition that must be met before something else can happen.

Example: I cannot leave until my boss approves my vacation request.
